President Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela.


He was a South African anti-apartheid activist and politician. Mandela served as the first president of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He was the country’s first black head of state and the first elected in a fully representative democratic election. He fought apartheid tooth and nail and agitated for South Africa’s freedom and independence.


He was born in July 18, 1918, Mvezo, South Africa.


Mandela passed on in December 5, 2013, Houghton Estate, Johannesburg, South Africa.


Nelson married Graça Machel (m. 1998–2013), Winnie Mandela (m. 1958–1996), Evelyn Mase (m. 1944–1958). He had Zindziswa Mandela, Zenani Mandela and other children. His parents were Gadla Henry Mphakanyiswa, Noqaphi Nosekeni. He was blessed to see grand children: Ndaba Mandela, Mandla Mandela and more.


He became the first black president of South Africa. He also won a Nobel Peace Prize, Bharat Ratna, Nishan-e-Pakistan and more.
